Portfolio Reviews and Mentorship

My reviews are an hour. I am happy to give a straight review with tips. Depending on your goals, we can take a deeper dive and talk about how for you to get the work you want. Just let me know how you want to use your time.

Here is what I offer:
Portfolio Review - a one hour portfolio review and critique $100

Portfolio Review with Project - Two zoom sessions, one (one-hour) portfolio review with a real world assignment geared to your portfolio and one (one-hour) critique of the assignment $150

Mentorship - Four one-hour zoom sessions with reviews and assignments to help strengthen your portfolio $250

Art Direction and Book Design

I am an Art Director and mentor with over 26 years of publishing experience based in New York City, working for the Big Five publishers. I specialize in book covers and interiors, most recently for Disney Publishing Worldwide. Designer of iconic books including The Feminist Baby, Meant to Be, The Isle of the Lost, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, as well as the Lore and Black Girl Power novels.

I will be happy to work with you on your next:
• Art Direction and Cover Design - I design and art direct picture books and middle-grade novels, young adult novels, adult novels and non-fiction books. I will also art direct commissioned illustrators when needed
• Interior Design - I will layout the book interior with InDesign for pictured books, novels, illustrated novels and nonfiction books.
• eBooks - I design and create fixed and reflowable eBooks. I can create files from scratch or convert existing print files.

I work quickly and am detail orientated. I have Amazon KDP and IngramSparks production experience and will provide print-ready and eBook PDFs.
