Artist Statement

Marci Senders is a visual storyteller, illustrator, and mixed media artist based in Queens, New York. After over two decades in children’s publishing, she now focuses on fine art and illustration inspired by the charm and narrative depth of classic children’s books. Her work is playful, smart, and emotionally resonant, often incorporating vintage ephemera to evoke nostalgia, curiosity, and wonder. Through simple yet layered imagery, Marci creates art that connects with both children and adults.
